Associate Member

The College may confer Associate Member status to scientists of international repute who can prove their intention and capacity to contribute to training residents. This route is typically for those without a veterinary qualification registerable in Europe but with equivalent research or laboratory experience to an international recognition candidate.

Without a veterinary qualification registerable in Europe but with research or laboratory experience equivalent to an international recognition candidate.
Commitment
Resident Training
Must prove intention and capacity to contribute to the training of residents. This must be documented in the letter of support.
Cap
Maximum 10%
The number of Associate Members shall not be more than 10% of the total number of College Diplomates at any time.
How to Apply

Curriculum Vitae
A full CV demonstrating research or laboratory experience of equivalent standard to an international recognition candidate.

Letter of Support
Signed by an ECVM Specialist, documenting the candidate's capacity and intention to contribute to the training of residents.
Applications are submitted to the ECVM Secretary. Associate Members hold Diplomate status but are not European Veterinary Specialists and do not sit the ECVM certifying examination.
